    Mollie Kellogg

    About

    Bio

Creative Sorceress Mollie Kellogg conjures a magickal world through her fine artworks, music, video, and performance. Her award-winning Incognito Witch Project celebrating hidden magick launched in 2009.

Mollie’s fine art has sold and galleried across the U.S. and internationally, and was included in the 2015 Grammy® Gift Bag. Mollie presented her inner magick message at talks in Syracuse, NY at the activist ArtRage Gallery, and in art venues in California, Arizona, and Massachusetts. Kellogg’s films and music videos featuring characters from her paintings have screened in cities including New York, NY, and in Los Angeles, CA at the Heal One World’s Awareness Festival; and internationally in Indonesia, schools in India, and at Nine Worlds London where it received the LGBTQAI Track Award. Mollie credits the supportive First UU San Diego Art Guild in California, which she co-coordinated from 2004-2021, for much of the project’s success, along with enthusiastic participation of friends and fans from Arizona, Washington, and well beyond.

Prior to the Incognito Witch Project from 2003 to 2008, Mollie’s work focused on motherhood themes, nudes, and figurative magical realism. From around 1995 to 2000 Mollie painted oversized nudes which originated as stage backdrops for Planet Earth Theater and Gallery — a venue Mollie co-founded in Phoenix, AZ. Mollie currently works from her in-home studio in Dalton, MA on fine art commissions, upcoming shows and performances, commercial artwork, and multi-disciplinary passion projects.

    Artist Statement

Incognito Witch works reveal the subject’s hidden psyche, suppressed to meet society’s expectations. Mortals become magickal beings adorned with jewels/nature elements, messy lipstick, and a signature flash of color under the eyes. Universal connections are symbolized in stars, and dream-like metallics. Figures evoke a Mother Nature archetype of power, strength, attraction, empathy, pain, and vulnerability. I view the current phase of the project’s development as an opportunity to see where these magickal beings will run off to play (or cause mischief) when given permission. You are magick!
